42k = 26.2 miles
An average time it takes to run a marathon is about 3.5 hours - 5 hours.
So based on the fact that most people tend to walk at a speed of about 3 miles per hour, you would expect to finish the 5K in approximately 60 minutes.
But f you are used to running then your average speed is probably more like 5 miles per hour, so then you should be able to a 5K in about 40 minutes.
Keep in mind these figures are approximate times only as there are many conditions that will determine the time it takes you to complete the 5k run on the day.
