The stomach is amongst the hardest parts of the body to be free of fat. Most people will say that there is no specific way of getting rid of fat from just your stomach. If you'd like to get slimmer, they'll tell you to drop fat from all over your body; you can't pick where the body takes its fat reserves from. They will often suggest a very strict fat-free diet which can sometimes backfire, because the body's first reaction to starvation conditions is to maintain what little fat it has. In effect, you are going to achieve the opposite of what you desire. The ideal low-fat diet should have about 55% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and only 15% fat.

Fitness fanatics will most likely confirm that there's very little that you can do to make certain the fat you get rid of is taken from your waistline. Resistance training is generally good for your health, and a comprehensive weight-loss program will include aerobic and resistance exercises, along with a low-fat diet program.
